This year, DU cut off marks for UG courses are likely to be higher, with many students scoring more than 95 percentile in CBSE class 12th board results. Here are five points to know about DU Admission 2021:
Delhi University will conduct the admission process in multiple rounds and will release the cut off list at the end of each round. Last year, the top colleges had closed the admission process in the first and second round itself, many of which had a cut-off of 100 marks. The total number of UG seats and PG seats in the university are 65,000 and 20,000 respectively. Let us know that the first cut off list will be released from 7 to 10 September.
The webinar is being organized by DU Admission Branch to help the students in the admission process. One such session has already been organized. The date of the upcoming webinar is given on the DU website. Apart from this, computer based help desk in the form of chat-bot and email will also be available round the clock to answer the queries of the candidates
Admission to undergraduate courses will be merit based as in the previous year. There is no change in the eligibility criteria and registration fee this year. In addition, the university has increased the number of courses for which the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2021 has been increased from nine last year to 13. The four new courses for which admission will take place from this year are Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Masters of Physiotherapy. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the entrance exam.
At least one percent of the total seats in a college shall be reserved for extra-curricular (ECA) and sports quota. The university said colleges can fill up to 5 per cent of their total seats by using ECA and sports quota.
DU said that in view of the situation of Kovid-19 in the country, it cannot conduct trials for ECA and sports quota admission this year. Admission to these seats will be done on the basis of merit/participation certificate. For this year only, applicants will be allowed to upload certificates for the last four years (1 May 2017 - 30 April 2021).
