With 309 positive COVID infections, Tamil Nadu has the second higest number COVID-19 patients. TamilNadu has allocated rs 9000 crore to fight against coronavirus padamic As many as 75 people in Tamil Nadu tested positive for novel coronavirus in last 24 hours ,taking the total no of covid 19 cases in the state to over 300 except one, the remaining 74 participated in a religious congregation in delhi last month. With 309 positive covid-19 infections ,Tamil Nadu has the higest no COVID-19 patients after Maharastra out of the total cases , 264 people attendent the religious event in Nizamuddin ,the state government confirmed.
Delhi's Nizamuddin has emerged as the hotspot of Coronavirus out break i the India Authorities said nearly 9000 people related to the Delhi event were identified and quarentined across the country reported news agency PTI .Over 450 COVID-19 who attentend the religious confrence have tested positive from various parts of the country.
A total of 1103 people were traced from Tamil Nadu who participated the conference in Delhi ,confirmed state health secretary Beela Rajesh .Few samples were under the process and the details would be a available soon ,he added.
Meanwhil4e,Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaiswami urged PM Narendra Modi to consider increasing the availability of personal protective equipment in the state . The state has allocated RS 9,000 crore to fight against Coronavirus pandamic , said palaniswami.
