The Meteorological Department has said that this hot and dry season will last till the end of May. Loo will continue from Delhi to Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan. The situation will remain the same in the states of Central India till 28 May. However, heavy rainfall is forecast in the northeastern states. At the same time, Kerala and South Karnataka may also receive light rain.

Mercury will remain between 43 and 45 degrees in Madhya Pradesh
IMD has predicted that the temperature in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, can reach 45 degrees today. Also, the department estimates that in the coming days, the mercury will be between 43 and 45 degrees.

Amritsar recorded 44 degree temperature
