Third day's game over
By the end of the third day of the first Test, India had scored 144/4 in the second innings. For India, Ajinkya Rahane (25) and Hanuma Vihari (15) are present at the crease. Based on New Zealand's first innings, the Indian team is still 39 runs behind.
Earlier in the day, the New Zealand team started at 216 for five and lost Watling's wicket on the first ball to Bumrah. The hosts scored 348 runs on the basis of their last three players with a lead of 183 runs in the first innings. Ishant Sharma took the highest five wickets for India. Ashwin got three wickets and Shami-Bumrah also got one wicket in the account.
After this, the Indian team started to bat in the second innings, once again started poorly and lost four wickets for 113 runs in front of Trent Boult's stormy bowling. However at the end of the day Rahane and Vihari handled the Indian innings and formed an important partnership. Mayank Agarwal scored 58 runs in the second innings for India, while Bolt took three wickets for the Kiwis.
