Payments can be made through RTGS 24 hours a day from December 2020
With RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), you can make live payments 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from December 2020. At present, cash transactions can be made between 7 am and 6 pm on weekdays. This facility was not available during the holidays. The RBI's decision comes after it introduced a 24-hour payment facility through NEFT. The new decision will benefit big money lenders and corporates. Up to Rs. 2 lakh can be transferred online through NEFT. RTGS is utilizing the transaction for a higher amount.
