Nearly two years after the merger, Vodafone Idea Company has announced its new name. The Vodafone Idea will now be known as vi. The full name of the Vi is Vodafone India Limited. Let us know that Vodafone and Idea were merged in August of 2018, but till now both companies were being run in their name.
Commenting on the announcement of the new name, CEO Ravindra Takkar said, “The integration of the two brands is the culmination of the largest telecom integration in the world. It is time for a new beginning '. Just before this announcement, Vodafone Idea stock has gained 10% this morning. With the announcement of the new name, the company has not made any changes in its tariff plan but has definitely hinted at raising prices.
Let us know that recently, giving a big relief to Vodafone India Limited, the Supreme Court has given ten years time to repay the arrears of Adjusted Gross Income (AGR). According to the court order, 10% of the AGR will be paid by the company in the current financial year and the balance in 10 installments in the next 10 years. Explain that Vodafone Idea owes AGR of more than Rs 58,000 crore. Out of this, the company has paid Rs 7,854 crore.
