According to scientists, the 'Asteroid 2020 ND' is 170 meters long and has a speed of 13.5 kilometers per second i.e. 48,000 kilometers per hour. It will pass a distance of about 50.86 lakh kilometers from the earth. Although such a distance in space is not considered much according to the speed of a meteorite, but scientists say that it will not cause any harm to the Earth.
However, it is believed that if the 'Asteroid 2020 ND' meteorite collides with the Earth, it can destroy half the world. In meteorology, such meteorites are called 'potentiologically Haddras', or potentially dangerous asteroids.
Scientists named the second meteorite approaching the Earth as 2016 DY 30. It will pass about 34 lakh kilometers from the earth. It is the closest meteorite to the Earth. The speed of this meteorite about 15 feet wide is 54 thousand kilometers per hour. The possibility of its hitting the earth is almost nil, but if it collides, it can cause massive destruction on the earth.
The third meteorite passing close to the Earth is known as the 2020 ME3. It will pass about 56 lakh kilometers from the earth. Its speed is 16 thousand kilometers per hour. It is also less likely to hit the earth, but it is also a meteorite that brings heavy destruction.
Although a large number of meteorites are found in the orbit of Mars and Jupiter, but very few of them pass close to the Earth. Their speeds may be disastrous for the Earth, but their distances are much longer. Therefore, there is little possibility of their hitting the earth
