The National Commission for Women has observed this increasing cases of domestic violence during lockdown. It was learned that the situation of women victims of domestic violence has worsened during the lockdown. Commission Chairman Rekha Sharma recently said that such complaints have been increasing since the lockdown came into force on 25 March. He said that 69 complaints were received only through email.
According to the latest data released by the commission, he said, between March 24 and April 1, 257 complaints of various crimes against women have been received. Of these 257 complaints, 69 are related to domestic violence. Let us know that India is currently going through a 21-day lockdown to deal with the global pandemic corona virus. Its duration expires on April 14. Let us tell that 206 people have died due to Corona in the country.
