The hotspot areas will be sealed as before.
According to sources, the government is considering not to pursue the lockdown in the green zone after May 3. The GoM headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to deal with Corona has in principle agreed to do so. Areas that are infection-free or have only partially affected areas in the category of green zone. The lockdown will be lifted in such areas, but local residents will have to follow several other stringent conditions, including wearing masks and adhering to social distancing.Failure to do so will result in a lockdown in the area again. Sources say the ban on rail, air and interstate bus services will continue even after lockdown. However, on Wednesday, the GOM will conduct a detailed review of the situation.
These restrictions will continue:-
.Masks and social distancing will be mandatory outside the house
.There will be ban on marriage, ceremony, religious event, public meeting
.Will be able to open offices with limited staff
.Private vehicles will come out on the road in limited numbers
.Promotion of activities related to essential services
.Shops in major markets get concession for free trade
PM will talk to all chief ministers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again hold separate meetings with the leaders of various parties before the end of the second phase of the lockdown. PM has also held virtual meetings with chief ministers twice before. After May 3, the PM will take a final decision on the strategy after taking opinion from the Chief Ministers, experts and leaders of various parties.
