Decoction in quarantine beneficial
According to the guidelines of the ministry, during quarantine people use decoction containing the basic principles of Ayurveda and some homeopathic medicines are beneficial. This is a serious beginning of technical study of the fundamental principles of Ayurveda on standards of medical science. This will create huge employment opportunities and attract the youth and medical experts of the country to do research.On the initiative of the Prime Minister, the Ministry has adopted the medical formulas of Ayurveda on the standards of modern medicine. This will prove to be in the country to prove the usefulness of Ayurveda.
Research on drugs
Earlier, the Department of Traditional Indian Medicine was constituted under the Ministry of Health and posted as Secretary. Despite this, Ayurveda continued to be treated more regularly than allopathy. For the first time, the government appointed Ayurvedic physician Dr. Rajesh Kotecha as Secretary, replacing IAS. After this, many new research works gained momentum. On the initiative of Kotecha, research on Rasoshadhi developed by the late Chandraprakash in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia, a type of blood cancer, was found effective.
Speed of Ayurveda propagation gained after budget increase
First, due to the negligible budget of Ayurveda, the development, promotion and propagation of this method did not gain momentum. In the year 2014-15, the budget of AYUSH was Rs 1069 crore, while in 2020-21, it is Rs 2122.08 crore. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was established in Delhi in 1956. Even after seven decades, finding a room named Ayurveda in AIIMS campus is not available. Now the establishment of All India Institute of Ayurveda at a cost of Rs 157 crores in an area of about 10.015 acres in the capital.
