Out of 287 deaths since Saturday morning, 120 died in Maharashtra, 53 in Delhi, 29 in Gujarat, 19 in Tamil Nadu, 17 in West Bengal, 15 in Madhya Pradesh, 13 in Rajasthan, 10 in Telangana, three in Jammu and Kashmir, Two people each died in Karnataka, Punjab and Chhattisgarh and one each in Kerala and Bihar.
59 patients died in Karnataka and 50 in Punjab due to infection. In Jammu and Kashmir, 39 people have died due to infection while 30 have died in Bihar, 24 in Haryana, 15 in Kerala, 11 in Uttarakhand, eight in Odisha and seven in Jharkhand so far.
Covid-19 killed five people each in Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Four people died in Assam and Chhattisgarh. One patient each died in Meghalaya and Ladakh. According to the ministry data, one death each occurred in Meghalaya and Ladakh.
Out of 6,929 deaths due to this deadly virus in the country, 2,969 deaths have been reported in Maharashtra. This is followed by 1,219 in Gujarat, 761 in Delhi, 399 in Madhya Pradesh, 383 in West Bengal, 257 in Uttar Pradesh, 251 in Tamil Nadu, 231 in Rajasthan, 123 in Telangana and 73 in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the ministry's website, 70 percent of deaths are cases in which patients were already suffering from other diseases. According to the data released till Sunday morning by the Ministry of Health, Maharashtra has the highest number of 82,968 cases of infection. This is followed by 30,152 in Tamil Nadu, 27,654 in Delhi, 19,592 in Gujarat, 10,331 in Rajasthan, 9,733 in Uttar Pradesh and 9,228 in Madhya Pradesh.
The number of infected in West Bengal has increased to 7,738. There are 5,213 patients in Karnataka, 4,915 in Bihar and 4,510 in Andhra Pradesh.
There are 3,952 cases of corona virus in Haryana, 3,496 in Telangana, 3,467 in Jammu and Kashmir, and 2,781 in Odisha. There are 2,515 cases in Punjab and 2,397 in Assam. There are 1,807 people infected in Kerala and 1,303 in Uttarakhand.
1,000 in Jharkhand, 923 in Chhattisgarh, 747 in Tripura, 400 in Himachal Pradesh, 309 in Chandigarh, 267 in Goa, 157 in Manipur, 107 in Nagaland ,
There are 99 cases in Puducherry and Ladakh.There are 47 cases of Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, and 33-33 cases of infection in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Meghalaya. There are 24 cases in Mizoram, 19 in Dadar and Nagar Haveli and three cases of Covid-19 in Sikkim so far.
