Ingredients

• Moong Dal - 2 cups
• Semolina - ½ cup
• Sugar - 1 ½ cup
• Cardamom - 3
• Khoya - ½ cup
• Ghee - 1 ½ cup
• Water - 2 cups

How to make

• Soak the moong dal for 4 to 5 hours.
• Sieve the lentils and finely grind the soaked lentils in the mixer grinder.
• Heat the ghee in a non stick or heavy bottomed pan.
• When ghee is hot, add semolina and fry until it turns pink.
• Then put the powdered lentils in the pan and stir continuously.
• When the lentils start to dry and the oil starts separating, then put the khoya in the pan and cook for 2 more minutes.
• Add 2 cups of water to the lentils and keep stirring continuously.
• When slightly thick, add sugar and cardamom powder.
• Turn off the heat when the pudding starts leaving the oil.
