Upper belly fat is the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) around the intra-abdominal organs. It is medically known as central obesity and is found in both men and women with increasing age. Peak obesity rates occur between the ages of 50 and 70 . Genetics, bad food habits, and improper lifestyle are the major causes of upper belly fat. Spot reduction is not a viable long-term option for reducing upper belly fat. The only way to reduce it the healthy way is through exercise, a healthy diet, and lifestyle changes.

Reduce sugar absorption: As the age increases, one should avoid using sugar. 1 tbsp of sugar contains about 50-60 calorie. Taking sugar with tea or coffee twice or thrice may increase the sugar level in the body. On the other hand, our food products like rice, chappati, potato, etc. also contain sugar. All these things may increase the level of sugar in the body and can caused diabetes and other diseases. More sugar quantity in the body is also responsible for obesity.
