Music is good for your health. Music therapy employs music to treat or respond to a specific problem. Music is a privileged means of expression because it reaches individuals at their core, allowing the individual to reveal his sufferings and emotions.
Sounds and rhythms are used as instruments in music therapy to increase creativity, reconnect with oneself, and treat a variety of health issues. Music, as a personal development tool, increases dynamism and improves cognition (attention, memory), psychomotor (agility, coordination, mobility), and socio-emotional capacities.
Although music therapy was originally used for psychotherapy, its therapeutic goals have since expanded significantly. Furthermore, no musical background is required to benefit from music therapy.
